PEOPLE FRUIT

Scripture Reading - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. NKJV

These verses of scripture summarize the people fruit (Godly graces) we should be striving for. Since we know that God is Love, it is scripturally acceptable to substitute God into every place these verses say “Love”. We can conclude that God possesses all these wonderful attributes plus many more. This brings us to the main emphasis which is, the child of God should act like God. The Lord gave us these same divine attributes to properly represent Him in the earth. In the animal kingdom most animal offspring take on the characteristic of their parents. In God’s Kingdom we should bear the same fruit as our Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus. All Christians should make it our goal in life to be longsuffering, kind, non envious, not boastful, not arrogant, not rude, selfless, not easily provoked, not prone to think evil about people or the worst about a situation and unhappy about injustice but glad to see truth prevail. We must bear things in the power of God strength by believing all the promises of God. We will always have hope because we are in Christ and that knowledge allows us to endure all things. I know this is a tall order but I believe our God is more than able help us fulfill this commandment of His Love when we purpose to produce these fruits toward all people upon the earth. Amen!
